January 12, 2009 - Week 0 of Starvation

With the start of the 3rd Diet Contest, many of the same participants from previous contests are here again, since we apparently couldn't keep the weight off. Additionally, we have a few new dieters, making a total of 25 participants. As in the first contest, the participants are assigned an anagram of their names (see below). Use this when you look at the list of participants below.

The contest had a rocky start, as competitors almost came to blows prior to the start of the contest. Cooler heads prevailed, and the initial weigh-in occurred without any incidents.

The initial leader is Darn Non Coed, due to the "I've Kept The Weight Off" Bonus. The other top two are Team Fool Ambush and Meal Urge Maniac. A few participants have maintained their weight, and a couple have significantly increased their weight from previous contests.

Only one contestant, Bread Snorter, is in the ideal BMI (body mass index) range.

The first weigh-in is this Friday, January 16. Weekly results will be published after the weigh-in. If you have problems reaching the links above, please let me know so I can find another solution. Good luck, and please take a Twix bar from my desk.
